Volunteer Spotlight

Stephanie and Sarah Youngquist

SiVY volunteers Stephanie and Sarah Youngquist are a dynamic, mother-daughter duo. At the recent Bridge Summer Camp, Stephanie handled the "fun" activities and Sarah taught the advanced group. 

Sarah has continued this teaching as a mentor at several High Schools and as a substitute for Middle Schools. She also taught a special session on declarer play before the November pizza party. 

And if that’s not enough -- the team is also heading up next year's Bay Area High School Bridge Championships! 

A recent addition to the SiVY Board of Directors, Stephanie has brought new energy to SiVY, taking on multiple projects with grace and efficiency. 

When asked why she volunteers at SiVY, Sarah had this to say, "Bridge has been great for me as both an educational experience and a social activity. I am really enjoying helping other young people learn this great game."
